Waited 30 minutes, nobody came to take orders ... Nobody can see me here .....
No rating possible because everything is closed
A wonderful place noteworthy, you only have to pay in cash
Inn with a wonderful view. Eat okay. Service very friendly. Terrace when the weather is nice
It is excellent that the mountain inn is reopened under new management. The ambience is class and worth seeing. The inimitable view from the Hoher Meissner to the Meißner foreland is unique in every season, whether in the warm, sunny summer or in the cold, winter snow months. Great hiking trails open up the Meißner from the mountain inn. Drinks and rustic dishes for guests, hikers, cars, motorcyclists and bus travelers are available. The staff is friendly and courteous and fulfills every wish. Highly recommended. Reiner Neumann.
Had everything closed. But the view is always nice. Especially in clear weather.
The view is terrific, the guest room is very nice and rustic, the service is unfortunately disappointing. After almost 1 hour of waiting, they briefly informed that they had unfortunately forgotten the hot food they had ordered and that it would take at least 30 minutes before they could be served. We then paid for the overpriced drinks and left, a possible discount on the drinks we had was not offered. The cake ordered at the neighboring tables was served much faster (in the display it looked quite good, although it was probably not baked by the house). Despite the outside temperature of 17 degrees, the guest rooms were unfortunately not heated, all guests were sitting in their jackets and partly with headgear there. Overall a shame for an inn with such a great location ...
Unfortunately we could not try the food because after 45 minutes we were told on request that our food was not "in the making" yet. In view of the many other waiting and already very impatient guests who were still there before us, we decided to only pay for the expensive drinks and to go to the nearby Meißnerhaus. There we had our schnitzel after 10 minutes 👀
After more than 45 minutes after our order, we did not receive either a salad or a main course. We only wanted currywurst and schnitzel (made quickly) with salad (as a side dish / should be prepared). I then asked the waitress if our meal was "in progress". She inquired and told us that it is not "in progress" yet. Then we paid for the very expensive drinks (€ 2.80 for 0.25 liters of mineral water and € 3.00 for 0.30 liters of cola) and left after the announcement. We noticed that the other guests were also waiting a long time and were not enthusiastic about the food itself. Only a few hundred meters further on in the Meißner-Haus we had an excellent meal (unfortunately, since it is also a hotel, it is not shown in maps under restaurants). No recommendation!
Today we went to the mountain inn with four people and were very pleasantly surprised by the fast and very friendly service !!!!!! I can recommend the restaurant to everyone with a clear conscience👍
We stopped by for coffee. The cake / tart was even better 2 years ago.
Wonderful on the terrace ... you have a beautiful view. The waitress came quickly to take the order, and the waiting time for food was absolutely fine. The schnitzel was excellent and the fries crispy and tasty. It's definitely very cozy inside in winter, with the tiled stove. To everyone who says inside should be renovated: NO, it has to be! Nice Bavarian rustic. Please go to a chic and mickey restaurant ala El Ernie or something ...
Great location and nice ambience. Homemade cake, very tasty. Super nice service staff. Again and again.
We were very disappointed with the food and the overwhelmed service. The salad with the Wiener Schnitzel was a disaster. The dressing from the salad was a milk sauce. Never been served such a lousy salad. The Schmitzel dry and tough. The fries so-so. The bratwurst my wife ordered was just as bad. Should be a currywurst. Three tables were occupied and you can hope for a short wait. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for our food. Conclusion: This restaurant is not recommended.
The view is unbeatable and the new landlady makes it easy to feel comfortable. This is our second time to eat and we like to come back because it's very good. If some would enjoy the view and the day more, then there would be no clock!
Unfortunately, extremely long waiting times at the table and no good service (ignorance of the card / excessive demands). In my opinion, the prices are too high considering the service (but also the products). Should I run the P1 again I would not stop here again, especially since there are other options not far away.
Beautiful view, but unfortunately the service needs something. You could really make something out of it
The prices are totally overpriced for a cheap tea bag and an apple cake that is unfortunately too dry. The service is also overwhelmed. It was not possible to pay by card because a joint bill had already been brought to the table, even though there were three of us and wanted to pay separately. In addition, we were brought water that we had not ordered, which we immediately returned, but which was still on the bill. It was not possible to get a new invoice.
I love the mountain inn! It is well attended in every season, whether in winter after a winter hike or in summer after a walk through the forest. The view from the restaurant into the valley is very romantic and beautiful.
G E S C H L O S S E N !
The view from the terrace is very nice. The house itself is very old and needs to be renovated. The waitresses are hopelessly overwhelmed! Even with only 15 guests in the restaurant! After half an hour there was still no order. Prices - performance 👎 Was there for the third and last time. Never again!
Wonderful location and view. Had the "dark" ale, which isn't dark, it's just red - it was passable. The food menu very limited: for vegetarians (or anyone that's not into liver sausage) there's precisely nothing and while they were prepared to offer a plate of leaves, I went elsewhere instead. It's no wonder the tourist industry in Hesse struggles: they need to adapt a little bit to being in the 21st century. Locals, who have never drunk good beer or had good food, will love it.
Our favorite spot to eat on the Meissner. Amazing view from the balcony, great food and atmosphere and a lovely host/chef. a place for an afternoon coffee and cake or dinner with your family. Free parking outside and easy to reach. we love it!!!
